Eating to Gain Weight - Enjoy Yourself!

I don’t know about you, but I enjoy eating certain foods! I don’t like it when a program tries to tell you exactly what to eat to gain weight. I would rather eat foods that I actually like. I signed on to do better workouts and build muscle, not to go to prison and eat only certain foods every day. Now, don’t get me wrong, I still watch what I eat and try to eat healthy, but I’m not going to torture myself everyday of my life eating things I don’t like just for the sake of 2 extra pounds of muscle.

Luckily, eating a little dirty is not a big deal. It’s not what you eat so much as how much you eat. If you are the type of person who couldn’t for the life of you gain weight, then consuming “unhealthy” foods every now and then should be the last thing you are worried about! You need not be afraid of putting on a little fat.

Inevitably, with building muscle you will always gain some fat. Hardgainer’s hardly have any body fat to begin with so you will hardly notice. You can always lose that fat later in the year, but to be honest, I would rather put on a couple pounds of fat if it results in putting on some good muscle weight. You will look buff one way or another. And since we are naturally skinny, we have a high metabolism and can burn that fat off no problem anyway.

A good weight training regimen should also be adopted when eating to gain weight. Because you will be placing additional stress on the body, it wouldn’t be a bad idea looking in to medical insurance plans to make sure you have health coverage in the case of some unforeseen injury in the gym.
